CHAMPAIGN, Ill. — Angie McClellan and Lisa Bradley each scored 16 points to lead 19th-ranked Illinois to a 79-61 victory over UCLA in women's basketball Sunday.
Also scoring in double figures for the Illini were Lesley Hudgins with 12 and Kristen Haynes and DeeDee Deeken with 10 each.
UCLA's Dora Dome led the Bruins with 24 points but fouled out in the second half.
The Illini were outrebounded, 49-37, by the larger UCLA team but still managed a 12-point lead at the half.
Illinois improved its record to 5-1. UCLA fell to 3-5.
