AMC Recalls 64,500 Cars

WASHINGTON — About 64,500 Alliance cars built by American Motors Corp. are being recalled to correct an exhaust emission problem, the Environmental Protection Agency announced Tuesday. The agency said AMC had agreed to recall the 1983 model cars for the installation of an air-bleed assembly in the automobile's vacuum hose.
