Stein-Brief-Ecker, a new commercial brokerage firm, opened in Laguna Niguel combining Stein-Brief Group, developers of Monarch Beach, with Chicago brokerage Howard Ecker & Co./Real Estate . . . Turner Development Corp. of Newport Beach said it bought 7.3 acres of land in Rancho Cucamonga to build the $5-million Turner/Lucas Ranch Road Business Park, Grubb & Ellis reported . . . Newport Beach contractor Elliott Corp. said it had begun building the $3.1-million Lincoln Business Center in Rancho Santa Margarita, a joint venture of Lincoln Property Co. and Santa Margarita Co. . . . Norris, Beggs & Simpson's Irvine office said it arranged a $9-million permanent loan for Riverside Lime Street Joint Venture's five-story, 70,000-square-foot office building in downtown Riverside . . . Accounting firm Hansen and Kushner signed a $1.5-million lease and moved its headquarters to the Irvine Co.'s 2 Park Plaza building at Jamboree Center in Irvine . . . Gilbert Aja Associates, an Irvine architectural and planning firm, has won the design contract for the 130-room Carson Hampton Inn in Carson, a Holiday Inn franchise . . . Kendell McGaw Laboratories, part of Colgate Palmolive Corp., leased a 66,000-square-foot building in the Irvine Spectrum for 10 years at $4.5 million, Coldwell Banker Commercial Real Estate Services reported.
