Local News in Brief : AIDS Victim Charged

An AIDS sufferer who splattered two sheriff's deputies with blood after being hit with a stun gun dart was charged Wednesday with resisting arrest by swinging a pole at the deputies.

Sean McCally, 27, was charged by the district attorney's office with one felony count of exhibiting a deadly weapon to a police officer to resist arrest at his home in Valinda, near West Covina.

McCally, who remains in custody, is scheduled to be arraigned today in Municipal Court. If convicted, he could be sentenced to state prison for up to four years.
