January 07, 1988|United Press International

WASHINGTON — A snowstorm forced Nancy Reagan to cancel her trip today to Nashville, where she was to visit a school to promote her anti-drug abuse campaign and to accept an award for that crusade at the Grand Ole Opry.

Her press secretary said Mrs. Reagan is scheduled to fly to New York on Monday to present an award to philanthropist-socialite Brooke Astor on behalf of the Council of Fashion Designers of America.
