Women's Basketball : USC Defeats Arizona for 10th Straight

Junior forward Karon Howell scored 21 points to help lead the USC women's basketball team to its 10th straight victory, 94-79, over Arizona, in a Pacific 10 Conference game Saturday night at the USC Gym.

Cherie Nelson scored 20 points, and Kalen Wright added 16 for the Trojans (11-3 overall and 5-0 in the Pac-10).

Dana Patterson scored 24 points for the Wildcats (3-12, 1-5).

UCLA 71, Arizona State 64--Sandra VanEmbricqs and Dora Dome scored 18 points apiece to lead the Bruins over the Sun Devils at Wooden Center. Dome also had 10 rebounds.

Jaime Brown added 16 points for the Bruins (11-6 overall and 4-1 in the Pac-10).

Shamona Mosley had 23 points and 10 rebounds, and Stephanie Osburn added 17 points for Arizona State (5-9, 1-5).
