Local News in Brief : Anaheim : Woman Dies After Jumping From Van

January 25, 1988

An 18-year-old woman was killed Sunday afternoon when she jumped out of a slow-moving van and was crushed by its right rear tire, authorities said.

Teresa Murray of Anaheim died of head injuries at Humana Hospital-West Anaheim about 1 1/2 hours after the 1 p.m. accident, Anaheim police said.

Police said Murray was arguing with the driver, Eddy Woods, 27, who was identified as her boyfriend. At the time of the argument, police said, the van was going west on Ball Road, just east of Magnolia Avenue, about 10 m.p.h.

Police said Murray apparently jumped without warning.

An investigation was continuing.
