Warne Marsh

I must thank you for publishing on the almost religiously beautiful tribute by Carolyn See to the late and truly great tenor saxophonist Warne Marsh (Editorial Page, Jan. 9).

It is a rare and pleasurable experience to discover a writer who possesses the soul of an artist, much as the soul of a musician the caliber of Warne Marsh.

I, too, was fortunate enough to know Warne, and the experience proved to be something to contemplate in awe for the remainder of this humble lifetime.

Thanks again, and thanks especially to you, Carolyn See.
