EARNINGS

January 26, 1988

Computer Sciences Corp. announced continued strong profit growth for its fiscal third quarter ended Jan. 1, with earnings totaling $10.3 million, up 36% over the prior-year period. Revenue for the quarter were $287.3 million, a 12% gain over the year earlier period. William R. Hoover, chairman and president of the El Segundo-based firm, said the substantial profit improvement for the quarter was due primarily to "continued higher overall profit margin, growth in our largest market, the federal government, and strong performance in the non-federal sectors."
