Narcotics detectives seized more than 400 pounds of cocaine with an estimated street value of about $65 million and arrested three suspected Colombian drug traffickers, Sheriff Sherman Block said Wednesday. The cocaine was seized during a drug raid Tuesday night in Riverside County.
In an unrelated raid Tuesday night at a La Puente residence, detectives seized $500,000 in suspected drug proceeds, slightly more than two pounds of cocaine and a vehicle. Two Mexican nationals, Humberto Pena, 37, and Maria Pena, 33, were arrested, Block said.
"This is just further evidence of the tremendous amount of cocaine available in this community," Block said.
