Alexander Faberge, 75, geneticist and grandson of Russian jeweler Carl Faberge. Faberge was a research scientist and lecturer at the University of Texas from 1957 until his retirement in 1982. Born in Moscow in 1912, Faberge fled with his family to England in the aftermath of the Russian Revolution.
