In the Garden Grove League:
Kennedy 3, Los Amigos 0--Goalie Jack McConnell had five saves for his ninth shutout of the season for visiting Kennedy. It was McConnell's seventh shutout in the last eight games. Kyong Kim and Diego Abbes scored in the first half and Jeff Taylor scored in the second half for Kennedy (12-2-3, 9-0-1). Taylor, a defenseman, went the length of the field for his goal.
La Quinta 2, Santiago 2--Santiago's Tony Alvarado scored early in the second half to tie the score at La Quinta. Chuck Woo scored on a penalty kick early in the first half to give La Quinta (7-7-3, 4-4-2) a 1-0 lead. Christian Parada tied the score midway through the half. Brian Guilano then gave La Quinta the lead at halftime. Goalie Jeff Tautram made nine saves for La Quinta.
In the Pacific Coast league:
Woodbridge 2, Trabuco Hills 1--Oliver Cathey scored the go-ahead goal one minute into the second half, and Woodbridge (7-8-1, 5-6) held on to win at Trabuco Hills. Bill Rutherford scored at the 15-minute mark of the first half to give Trabuco Hills (4-6-1) a 1-0 lead. Woodbridge's Jon Szczuka scored 15 minutes later to tie the score. Goalie Mike Goodman made six saves for Woodbridge. Brad Collins made nine saves for Trabuco Hills.
