TransTechnology's fiscal third-quarter profit fell 6% from a year earlier on a 3% decline in revenue.
The Sherman Oaks-based maker of aerospace-defense products said net income for the three months ended Dec. 31 fell to $3.26 million, or 62 cents a share, from $3.47 million, or 75 cents a share, a year earlier. Revenue slipped from $54.7 million to $53.3 million.
For the first nine months of its fiscal year, TransTechnology's earnings rose 21%, to $7.26 million, or $1.36 a share, from $6.04 million, or $1.31 a share, a year earlier. Nine-month revenue edged down 2%, from $146.2 million to $143.3 million.
