The man accused of being the San Jose area's "ski mask rapist" has been charged with a 27th assault, and his wife was arrested on suspicion of possessing items stolen from the rapist's victims, authorities said. Clara C. Sanchez, 27, was taken into custody on a $250,000 arrest warrant, although Supervising Deputy Dist. Atty. Alan Nudelman said there is no evidence to suggest that she knew the property had been taken from sexual assault victims. He would not say what evidence police have to suggest that she knew the property had been stolen. In an amended complaint filed in Municipal Court, George Anthony Sanchez and his wife were charged with 14 felony counts of receiving stolen property, most of which was jewelry.
