In another Angelus League game:

Bishop Amat 103, Servite 58--Bishop Amat led, 34-10, at the end of the first quarter. Geoff Lear led Bishop Amat (21-1, 6-1) with 22 points. Brook Hansen scored 11 and Chris Johnson 9 for Servite (11-9, 1-6).

In the Empire League:

Los Alamitos 58, Katella 56--Center Dre Lamoureaux scored 24 points for the Griffins (16-6, 7-0). Katella (5-14, 1-6) will miss the playoffs for the first time in 22 years.

Cypress 68, El Dorado 66--Bond Weaver's basket gave Cypress (7-12, 4-3) the victory at El Dorado. Weaver had 25 points and Greg Bedford 19 for Cypress. Chris Facione led El Dorado (11-8, 4-3) with 24 points.

In the Garden Grove League:

La Quinta 81, Garden Grove 48--Four La Quinta players scored in double figures. Kenny Bennett had 18 points, John Schneggenburger and Scott Linck 15 and James Johnson 11 for La Quinta (15-7, 8-4).

Kennedy 68, Pacifica 48--Kennedy clinched the Garden Grove League title at home. Wendell Lauderdale scored 18 points and Mike Pettengill 15 points for Kennedy (14-7, 10-1). Greg White and Dustin Bonham led Pacifica (6-14, 4-7) with 13 points apiece.

In the Pacific Coast League:

Woodbridge 77, Costa Mesa 43--Center Adam Keefe had 25 points and 10 rebounds before sitting out the fourth quarter. Chris Deibert added 12 points for Woodbridge (15-5, 7-0). Greg Ertel led Costa Mesa (5-15, 2-5) with 13 points.

Laguna Hills 41, Laguna Beach 34--Host Laguna Hills held Laguna Beach to just three points in the final quarter. Chris Sheff led Laguna Hills (14-8, 5-2) with 17 points. John Trevino scored 10 points for Laguna Beach (9-10, 4-3).

Orange 70, Trabuco Hills 69--Tom Ghasemi made two free throws with 16 seconds left for Orange at home. Robbie Sallinger had 20 points to lead Orange (4-15, 1-6). He made 10 of 12 free throws in the fourth quarter. Rick Swanwick led Trabuco Hills (11-10, 2-5) with 18 points.

In the Sea View League:

Saddleback 75, Corona del Mar 57--Gylan Dottin scored 26 points and Malru Dottin added 12 for visiting Saddleback. Brian Spratt led Corona del Mar (12-9, 3-4) with 12 points.

Tustin 58, University 54--Leo Parker scored 17 points, including 4 dunks, for visiting Tustin (19-3, 7-0). Steve Stolzoff scored 25 points for University (9-13, 1-6).

Newport Harbor 52, Estancia 39--Newport Harbor rallied from a 29-17 halftime deficit at Estancia. Mike Nguyen scored 10 points to lead Newport Harbor (13-11, 2-5). Estancia is 14-9, 2-5.

In the South Coast League:

Capistrano Valley 52, Irvine 51--Charles Lockard made two free throws with six seconds left for Capistrano Valley (19-4, 7-0). Irvine (10-12, 3-4) had a 51-48 lead with two minutes remaining and subsequently had four one-and-one opportunities, but missed the front end of each. Todd Marinovich scored 21 points for Capistrano Valley (19-4, 7-0). Lockard had 13 points.

El Toro 86, San Clemente 51--Eric Speaker scored 23 points, Bret Johnson added 18 points and Mike Van Riette had 10 points, helping host El Toro (16-5, 5-2) to a 55-24 halftime lead. San Clemente, led by Todd Anderson with 12 points, is 0-7 in league play.

Mission Viejo 56, Dana Hills 45--Jeff Springfield scored 16 points and Mission Viejo outscored Dana Hills, 16-2. At halftime, Mission Viejo led, 26-12.
