32,500 British Ford Workers Call Strike

LONDON — Unions representing Ford Motor Co. Ltd.'s 32,500 hourly workers today called a nationwide strike after talks with company negotiators over pay and other issues broke down.

The strike, Ford's first in Britain in nearly a decade, was set to begin on Monday, said a spokesman for the Transport and General Workers' Union.
