HOMER AND EDDIE (Kings Road). Shooting in S. Calif. James Belushi is Homer, a slightly retarded fellow who is hitchhiking cross country to visit his dying father. Whoopi Goldberg is Eddie, a homicidal petty thief who picks him up and takes him for a bumpy ride. Producers Maritz Borman and Jim Cady. Director Andrei Konchalovsky. Screenwriter Pat Cirillo.

HOW I GOT INTO COLLEGE (Fox). Shooting in L.A. Anthony Edwards, Harold Ramis and Rick Moranis lead the way in this comedy on the trials and tribulations of a group of kids as they graduate from high school to college. Producer Michael Shamberg. Director Jan Eliasberg. Screenwriter Terrel Seltzer.

SEE YOU IN THE MORNING (Lorimar). Shooting in NYC. Jeff Bridges and Alice Krige portray a couple who meet and marry after Bridges' first wife (Farrah Fawcett) dies in this Alan J. Pakula produced/directed/written drama. Also stars Drew Barrymore, Lukas Haas, David Dukes, Linda Lavin, George Hearn, Frances Sternhagen and Theodore Bikel. Late '88 release.

SING (Sing). Shooting in Toronto. A celebration of dance and music centering on a high school and the various musical productions the students stage. Executive producer Wolfgang Glattes. Producer Craig Zadan. Director Richard Baskin. Screenwriter Dean Pitchford. Stars Lorraine Bracco, Peter Dobson, Jessica Steen and Louise Lasser. Distributor Tri-Star.

TWINS (Mantle Clinic II). Shooting in Toronto. David Cronenberg ("The Fly") directs Jeremy Irons and Genevieve Bujold in a psychological drama about the inner workings of siblings who are born together. YOUNG GUNS (Young Guns). Shooting in Santa Fe. Siblings Emilio Estevez and Charlie Sheen appear together for the first time in this 1880s ensemble piece.
