A 25-year-old Pacoima man was fatally shot Sunday morning during a fight between two groups of men believed to be gang members, police said.
Alexander Duke was shot in the upper body with a small handgun outside a taco stand near Van Nuys and Laurel Canyon boulevards, said Sgt. Ken Dionne of the Foothill Division of the Los Angeles Police Department.
Duke was taken to Pacifica Hospital of the Valley in Sun Valley, where he died about 5:30 a.m., Dionne said.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation, Dionne said. No arrests have been made, police said.
