Talks to Push European Growth

PARIS — Stalling European economic growth has become the No. 1 concern of leading industrial nations and will be the focus of high-level talks today aimed at goading the Europeans into policies to promote expansion.

Diplomats said the Economic Policy Committee of the 24-nation Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, headed by Beryl W. Sprinkel, chairman of President Reagan's Council of Economic Advisers, would likely place West Germany in the firing line again despite objections from some Europe and North America representatives.
