The letter from Rep. Robert T. Matsui (D-Sacramento) published Feb. 21 ("Tax Reform Act May Not Be Perfect but It Does Bring Some Positive Changes") mentions the "simpler" two-rate structure we have as a result of tax reform. Many people think that fewer is simpler.
In truth, it scarcely matters whether there are two brackets or 200.
Is there a conspiracy, even among the Democrats, to obscure the fact that the main reason for "tax reform" was to cut taxes for millionaires while avoiding the cost of loophole-finding lawyers?
To say "fewer is simpler" is to lie.
