Mary Willford will leave her post as deputy city clerk in Temple City to become San Marino's city clerk late in April.
San Marino City Manager John Nowak said Willford's starting date has not been set because she must complete work on the April 12 Temple City election before moving to her new position.
Willford, a San Gabriel resident who has been the deputy city clerk in Temple City since 1980, will earn $2,446 a month in San Marino. She was one of 20 applicants for the post, which was vacated by Stephanie Swarner in December.
Nowak said an adviser has been hired to assist San Marino with the coming election.
