Local News in Brief : $315,000 More Voted for Police Project

April 14, 1988

The Glendale City Council voted unanimously Tuesday to spend an additional $315,000 to complete the remodeling of the Police Department building.

The money will be used to complete the project that began in 1986, Police Chief David J. Thompson said.

In a memo to the council, Thompson said the additional money will pay for complications in construction and aspects of remodeling that were not identified when the project was proposed.

The approved expenditure brings the total cost of remodeling to $2.1 million.
