Dan Clay of Pacoima, a former pitcher at Pierce College and Loyola Marymount, was purchased Friday by the Philadelphia Phillies from the club's triple-A affiliate in maine.
Clay, 26, was 0-1 at Maine and had allowed 8 hits and 1 earned run in 16 innings.
