After almost 20 years of having The Times delivered to our home, my husband and I have cancelled our subscription. Conrad's "work of disgrace" on April 27 was the straw that finally broke the camel's back. It is one thing for a political cartoonist to tell it like it is, but, in the case of Israel, it's as if Conrad has declared war and, even more insidiously, is raising the specter of anti-Semitism to a new height both in the U.S. and abroad.
The Palestinians have lived on the West Bank in peace for a number of years but now that they have started these protests, as choreographed by the PLO, Conrad is in there "Israel-bashing" away. I wonder if he has given any thought to what would have been the fate of the Israelis had the Arab nations been victorious either in 1948, 1956, 1967 or 1973 when they viciously attacked Israel with the full intent of destroying that nation.
