Welfare In Orange County : 55-alive Mature Driving Program

The American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) sponsors monthly classes for its "55-Alive Mature Driving Program," a state-approved refresher course for licensed drivers 55 years and older. The two-day, 8-hour course costs $8, and includes a state Department of Motor Vehicles certificate issued upon program completion. The certificate is required by auto insurance companies for senior discount rates. Attendance is by reservation only.
