A ceremony honoring Orange County peace officers who have died in the line of duty will be held Monday at the Civic Center in Santa Ana, marking the beginning of National Police Memorial Week. Representatives from all law enforcement agencies in Orange County will take part.

The ceremony will be held at the Orange County Peace Officer Memorial in the Plaza of Flags. There are 23 plaques in place at the memorial, the most recent honoring two Costa Mesa Police Department officers who were killed in a helicopter crash on March 10, 1987.
