Cheesy Broccoli and Chicken Pitas makes a hot, nutritious sandwich without time-consuming preparation. Pita bread is one of the most convenient ways to make a sandwich meal for two since it encloses each ingredient in one neat, hand-held package.
CHEESY BROCCOLI AND CHICKEN PITAS
1 (10-ounce) package frozen cut broccoli with cheese-flavored sauce in a pouch
2 pita breads, halved
4 teaspoons mustard
1 whole boneless cooked chicken breast, sliced
1 small tomato, sliced
4 slices bacon, crisply cooked
Cut small slit in center of broccoli pouch. Microwave on HIGH 6 to 8 minutes or until thoroughly heated, rotating pouch 1/4 turn every 2 minutes.
Meanwhile, brush inside of each pita half with 1 teaspoon mustard. Arrange chicken, tomato and bacon in pitas. Spoon broccoli and cheese sauce into pitas and serve immediately. Makes 4 sandwiches.
