Despite the fact that it was first in the ratings, "Perry Mason's Case of the Lady in the Lake" was a tired show and Raymond Burr a tired actor. He exhibited the emotional range of a guy waiting for a bus. The script was as full of holes as Swiss cheese, and there were enough "red herrings" to fill a Norwegian fishing boat.
