Legends, Not Dinosaurs

June 12, 1988

Together with the old axiom, "Those who can't teach," I propose a new expression: "Those with no talent become critics."

The audacity of Christon's column is a blatant insult to Milton Berle, Danny Thomas and Sid Caesar, three of the most respected comedians of this century and indeed, true legends.

The irony is, he quoted lines from the act that were indeed hysterical. The laughs exploding from the Rivera Hotel prove this triumvirate of great performers make a mockery of the pseudo-intellectual smear of the article.
