More Portland Sewage Spills Into Willamette

PORTLAND, Ore. — About 174,000 gallons of raw sewage spilled into the Willamette River just hours after the city was fined in connection with similar spills last month. A blocked screen caused the spill Tuesday, officials said. Earlier, the city was fined $5,000 for failing to immediately report two other spills.
