Jon Rice and Liz Baker, both of San Diego, were winners Sunday in the second Great Earth 10-kilometer run at Balboa Park.
Rice, 27, won the men's division in 32 minutes 21 seconds. Andrew Fowlkes of Holtville finished second in 32:19.
Baker, 30, a former San Diego State student now living in Rancho Santa Fe, was the first women finisher in 35:52. Kim Stempien of San Diego was second at 38:44.
BASKETBALL
Lina Walker scored 27 points Sunday to lead Awesome Image to a 63-56 victory over Everlasting in a women's division game of the San Diego Supreme Court basketball league at Grossmont College.
In a men's division game, Reggie Jordan scored 31 points to lead Nice Advice (3-1) past Good Judgement, 83-74. Herman Webster had 28 points for Good Judgement (0-4).
Kerry McIntyre scored 15 points and four others were in double figures as Unpretentious (3-1) beat The Truth, 82-77. Demetrius Laffitte had 26 for The Truth (2-2).
