Philip Morris Advertisement

July 13, 1988

The ad attempts to paint the grotesque image of "smokers" being an economic-political force.

This, without either defining "smokers" or using the word "cigarettes," is a weasel's way of avoiding using the surgeon general's warning on the ad.

This campaign to give an upscale image of smoking is contemptible and should be recognized as the abomination it is.
