The following sites listed on the National Register of Historic Places reflect Orange County's rich heritage. We have listed the locations of these historic sites for those who wish to take a quick tour through the county's past. Many of the sites are open to the public, but others are privately owned and closed to visitors.

Carnegie Library 241 S. Anaheim Blvd. Anaheim Houses the Anaheim Museum, open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, noon to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Samuel Kraemer Building 76 S. Claudina St. Anaheim Restored, houses offices.

Melrose Kroger Historic District Located between Olive and Kroger streets and Broadway and Lincoln Avenue Anaheim Private

Melrose-Backs Neighborhood Houses 226 and 228 E. Adele St. 303, 307, 317, 321 N. Philadelphia St. Anaheim Private

Phillip Ackley Stanton Home 2200 W. Sequoia Ave. Anaheim Rehabilitated, houses offices.

Truxaw-Gervais Home 887 S. Anaheim Blvd. Anaheim Houses Thee White House Restaurant.

Balboa Pavilion 400 Main St. Balboa Houses restaurant, banquet facilities and offices.

Old Brea City Hall and Park 401 S. Brea Blvd. Brea Restored, houses American College of Law and Brea Historical Society offices.

Fairview Indian Site 2300 through 2500 Placentia Ave. Costa Mesa Part of a Costa Mesa city park.

Jose Serrano Adobe Heritage Hill Park 25151 Serrano Road El Toro Tours are given at 2 p.m. Tuesday and Friday, 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. weekends and holidays. The park is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

Chapman Building 110 E. Wilshire Ave. Fullerton Houses the Pioneer Bank and other offices.

Dr. George C. Clark House The Arboretum-Cal State Fullerton Yorba Linda Boulevard between Highway 57 and Associated Road Fullerton Now called the Heritage House. Open for tours from 2 to 4 p.m. Sundays.

Elephant Packing House 201 W. Truslow Ave. Fullerton Houses Aircraft Spruce and Specialty Co. Visitors are welcome between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Fullerton Union Pacific Depot 110 E. Santa Fe Ave. Fullerton Houses The Old Spaghetti Factory restaurant.

Muckenthaler House 1201 W. Malvern Ave. Fullerton Now the Muckenthaler Cultural Center. Open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays, noon to 5 p.m. Sundays.

Helme-Worthy Store and Residence 513-519 Walnut St. and 128 6th St. Huntington Beach Undergoing rehabilitation for use by businesses.

Newland House 19820 Beach Blvd. Huntington Beach Open for tours from noon to 4 p.m. the second Saturday and third Sunday of each month. Call (714) 847-5883 for group tours.

Los Rios Historic District 31600 to 31921 Los Rios St. San Juan Capistrano The O'Neill Museum at 31831 Los Rios St. is open from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday. With the exception of the Montanez Adobe (see below), other district adobes are privately owned.

Mission San Juan Capistrano Ortega Highway and Camino Capistrano San Juan Capistrano Open 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
