OUTTAKES

Behind the Greenback

Although Riviera Hotel execs are denying knowledge of a possible deal for porn queen Marilyn Chambers ("Behind the Green Door," "Insatiable") to perform live at the Vegas resort--"Nobody has said anything to me about it," says Riv entertainment director Sam Distefano--other sources tell us otherwise.

"The only matter left to be settled is one of money," says Norbert Aleman, who produces the Riviera's "Crazy Girls" and "La Cage Aux Folles" revues.

Chambers wants $15,000 a week, according to a source close to the performer.

Aleman said Chambers could become mistress of ceremonies or join a nude act in "Crazy Girls," a sort of naughty vaudeville show that includes among its acts a lesbian adagio and a total strip (suggestive TV commercials for the revue were pulled by local TV stations because of complaints).

Distefano said he doesn't think Chambers would be a suitable addition to the Riv's lineup. But Aleman responded: "I have total control over these shows. I only have to let him know when the deal's been set, so they can put her name on the marquee and in the advertising.

"If I can bring in an extra 4,000 or 5,000 people a week with this show, then I guarantee you the Riviera will be happy."
