WASHINGTON — Arnold L. Raphel, the U.S. ambassador to Pakistan who was killed last week in the plane crash that also took the life of President Zia ul-Haq, was buried Monday in Arlington National Cemetery.
Raphel, 45, a Foreign Service officer since 1967, was eulogized earlier before more than 1,000 mourners in Ft. Myers Chapel, near the cemetery across the Potomac River in Arlington, Va.
