Liberals and Conservatives

October 07, 1988

Sometimes Conrad's cartoons seem obscure. Sometimes I don't agree with him. His "Dukakis is a Liberal" cartoon reaffirmed my lifelong support of the liberal viewpoint.

The constant denigration of liberals by the Bush-Quayle duo had left me depressed and feeling almost guilty for my beliefs. Now, thanks to Conrad, I've been reminded that there's nothing wrong with espousing a philosophy, as he defines liberal. In fact, I'm proud of my political leanings.

Our society will never achieve its potential greatness if we bow to the selfishness, greed, and shortsightedness of the conservatives.

Liberal is beautiful! Let's stand up and be counted.
