Big changes are in store for next year's Academy Awards telecast on ABC: Glittermeister Allan Carr has signed on as producer of the 61st annual show, set for March, 29 at the Shrine Auditorium. Carr, was the co-producer and co-author of the movie musical "Grease" and produced Broadway's Tony Award-winning "La Cage aux Folles." Veteran Oscar director Marty Pasetta will not be on board to direct the show, but no one has been named to replace him. Jeff Margolis, director-producer of last year's "Happy Birthday, Hollywood" special, is thought to be heading the short list.
