Three El Rancho High School graduates will be inducted this month into the school's Hall of Fame.
Dr. Christina Hernandez, a 1962 graduate; Robert Benavides Jr., a 1963 graduate, and William Edward Wolfe, who graduated in 1965; will be honored during the Pico Rivera school's 6th annual recognition banquet at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 22 at the Embassy Suites hotel in Downey.
Hernandez is director of the Pico Rivera Community Medical Clinic. A resident of Pico Rivera, she has published research on rural health care in Mexico and lectured widely on public health matters. Hernandez has a bachelor of science degree from Universidad Autonoma De Guadalajara, Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, and a doctorate in medicine from the University of Miami School of Medicine.
Benavides has degrees from Sonoma State College, Cal State Los Angeles, Georgia State University and a doctorate of education with a major in psychology and counseling from the University of San Francisco. He is vice president and director of intern training at Santa Rosa Institute in Santa Rosa. He is responsible for intern training of individuals preparing for licenses as psychologists, family therapists and clinical social workers.
