The Oct. 10 story, "Japanese Pour $8.96 Billion Into U.S. Real Estate," may be of concern to some. But there are positive sides to foreign investment, whether it be by the Japanese, the British, the Dutch or any other people.
Foreign investments mean dollars coming back to the United States. It helps finance our budget deficit. Most importantly, real estate stays in the United States--foreign investors can't take it out.
And, finally, the U.S. has been doing the same thing--investing overseas--for decades.
