Pepperdine's Kari Baerg took first place in 21:26 in last week's West Coast Athletic Conference cross-country championships, and Dale Reicheneder finished ninth in 34:19 for the Wave men. Portland won the men's and women's team championships, and the Pepperdine women finished second and the Wave men fourth.

UCLA junior Jean Zedlitz shot a 220 for 54 holes and tied for fifth place, pacing the Bruin women golfers to 10th place at last week's Stanford Invitational.
