Bass Are Biting at Reservoirs

Fishing Report

January 04, 1989

Despite the cold weather, largemouth bass fishing has picked up at many Southland locations. Several largemouth have been caught at Lake Silverwood, a San Bernardino County reservoir known primarily for its striped bass.

Greg Silks of Alta Loma, who normally fishes for stripers, caught a largemouth that weighed 13 3/4 pounds. His brother Rick, fishing in a different location at the lake, caught a 12-pounder.
