General Manager Ladd Herzeg of the Houston Oilers said he has apologized to Houston Chronicle sports columnist Fran Blinebury for slapping the writer twice.
Blinebury said Herzeg hit him after the two had a disagreement at lunch in a restaurant Tuesday. Blinebury declined further comment.
