The Fallen Idol (Channel 7 Thursday at 1 a.m.): The Carol Reed-Graham Greene classic about a small boy who unwittingly incriminates his best friend, the family butler, in murder and scandal. (2:00)

The Postman Always Rings Twice (Channel 13 Friday at 1:30 a.m.): Tay Garnett's memorable 1946 version of the James M. Cain tale of sex, murder and guilt starring Lana Turner (at her sultriest) and John Garfield. (2:00)
