Pianist Michael Fennelly, a senior at San Clemente High School, is the recipient of the 1988-89 Musical Reinvestment Scholarship, presented by the Capistrano Committee of the Orange County Philharmonic Society.
Fennelly, who also plays the cello, has been playing piano since he was 5. He is completing his third year as recipient of the Epstein Fine Arts Fund, sponsored by the Boys Club of America. The Boys Club also sent Fennelly to the East Coast to perform with the New York Virtuoso Philharmonic Orchestra, and he gave a public recital in Boston.
Fennelly will be in concert at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Boys and Girls Club of San Clemente. Proceeds support the Orange County Philharmonic Society, the Capistrano Committee and other youth programs. Admission is $5 for adults, $2.50 for children younger than 12 (accompanied by an adult) and $10 per family. For information, call (714) 498-0169.
Teen-age sexuality, drug abuse, AIDS, stress and depression will be discussed Saturday at the second annual teen-ager conference sponsored by the Planned Parenthood chapter of Orange and San Bernardino counties.
