The Ophthalmic Division of pharmaceutical giant Pharmacia has moved into its new headquarters building in Monrovia's redevelopment area.
The new two-story building, at East Huntington Drive and Shamrock Avenue, has 140,000 square feet of office, light-manufacturing and research-and-development space. Ophthalmic will use the space to develop, make and market eye-care products.
The build-to-suit complex is owned by its developer, Boone Fetter Associates, which has done three previous projects in Monrovia. Pharmacia's 15-year lease is valued at $42 million.
Pharmacia was represented by Travers Realty. Boone Fetter represented itself.
