MORNING REPORT

"Don't Bungle the Jungle," a benefit to save the world's rain forests, might have been more aptly renamed "Don't Steal the Show," which is precisely what Madonna did Wednesday night as co-host of the event at New York's Brooklyn Academy of Music Opera House. Eschewing a soapbox, the platinum-haired singer stole the show with her buddy Sandra Bernhard--both were dressed in matching sequined bras and graffiti-decorated cut-offs--in a grand finale duet of "I Got You, Babe." Other crowd favorites on hand at the benefit were the B-52's and the Grateful Dead.
