It is most gratifying to read of the corporate welfare/pension programs established for Frank C. Carlucci, George P. Shultz, Ann McLaughlin and other former officials in the Reagan Administration. I feared for their welfare after leaving government service. In Carlucci's case, nine major corporations saw their duty and jumped at the opportunity to "employ" his expertise while only four saw the light in Shultz's case. Poor McLaughlin came in third with only three.
