ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Bad ratings from the Monroe County Legislature have forced the cancellation of a plan to install cable television in the county jail, officials said Saturday.
County Sheriff Andrew Meloni had proposed providing cable service to about 35 television sets at the jail, with the initial installation cost of about $25,000 to be picked up by inmates through sales at the jail commissary.
