The College Football Assn. concluded its annual meeting in Dallas without acting on a proposed 16-team playoff, but voted to form a committee that would study the postseason bowl structure.
Also, the CFA voted to submit legislation to next January's National Collegiate Athletic Assn. convention that would restore the 30 per year and 95 total limit on football scholarships. The current limits are 25 and 95. The CFA members rejected a recovery plan that would have allowed Division I-A schools under the limit because of probation to return to 95 scholarships over a two-year period.
