Adrienne Brown, wife of jailed soul singer James Brown, has been placed on five years' probation and fined $5,000 in Augusta, Ga., after pleading guilty to a drug charge. She also was ordered to continue with drug and alcohol screening. Her husband, known as the "Godfather of Soul," is serving a six-year sentence at the State Park Correctional Center near Columbia, S.C., for trying to run over two policemen during a two-state auto chase last fall.
